Hey all,
I recently had my rotors replaced and machined. However now I have a fair bit of surface rust forming. Any ideas on how to get rid of it? :( Cheers.

where is the rust forming? if it is on the main face of the rotor its ok, you may not have driven the car for a little while after a wash or from the rain and it has just rusted. just drive around and apply the brakes like normal and it will get rid of the rust

unforuntately if it like a ring around where the hub and the brake pad does not reach it then im afraid there is not much you can do about it unless you want to pain your hub with a colour so that rust does not form there anymore due to the paint.

It's normal. Rotors are made of mild steel, not stainless.

Hey all,
Yeah it is forming on the outside hub, and on the top edges. I've got open dishhh wheels, so I will mask it off and give it a paint. Thanks for the feedback. I hate rust too! ;-)

replaced AND machined?

what was the original concern?

^^sometimes people replace them and then machine them to be absolutely sure there is no runout.
at my workshop we dont worry about it,just trust that dba's rotors come to us straight

be sure to remove rust b4 painting. do not paint over the top.
