Hey guys, recently my b18a engine had enough and blew a gasket... Literally...
So it was replaced with a b20b engine from japan out of a 2001 CRV. Now I am just considering where I am going to go from here, saving up for a GOOD turbo set up that ill get after I get off my P's next year or go for the CRVTEC option...
Just like to hear some of your opinions, pros and cons of both setups.
Cheers.
you already got the b20 bot so just go the
b16a2/b18c7 head. Shouldn't cost too much to get it done as you already have the b20 block!
Remains N/A you can get power NOW instead of waiting for a year and who knows in the future you could add turbo so you'd have turbo vtec :) super torque lmao
well for a honda anyway

Yeah i think im agreeing with you. How much do you think a b16a2 head or b18c7 head would cost?

its been covered alot on b20vtec engines, theres different paths to go and its more then a simple head swap.

b16 heads are cheap from $300 up i beleive.(just rem its only a head not the whole block you need)
Also i think you need one of those b20 kits for oil for the vtec as the b20 block is lacking or something if i rem rightly

Huge bump... But ive decided to go down the CRVTEC path.
Im just wondering about how much it would cost from here to get a b18cr head and have installed along with possibly getting the b20 walls strengthened, and if anyone has any recommendations on who to go to?
