Hey guys,
Just got a quote for my 05 Euro, For the 80,000k service and they said it is going to be around $600. Is this a bit too much? This is just replacing everything that the manual says etc too.

Timing belt change and tappet adjustment i beleive.
Can't rem what else they do one the 80k.

Timing belt costs from 250-400 & a tappent adjustment is about $80-100.

Unless there is something else i forgot? Read out the manual cos i'm at work

The euro doesn't have a timing belt.

80000km consist of pollen filter, fuel filter. oil and oil filter

$600 isn't THAT bad for an 80k service. it'll take em about 3 hrs to do it properly

- oil and fitler
- air filter
- fuel filter (pricey and pain in the ass to do)
- tappet adjustment
- usual checks and adjustments
but for that price i'd expect your atf/mtf to be changed too

limbo - no k-series have timing belts, they are all chain based.

Isn't that the same as the 40k service? I paid $277 for 40k service but brought my own oil and no air filter replaced (as mine was washable type). Honda dealer in Perth.

Yeah it's at a Honda Dealership. Just wanted to make sure, haven't had to service it yet (Second owner). Going to get the atf changed too. I hear sometimes they replace wiper blades or is this only on request?

they will need to advice you to get your permission for items like wipers or something isn't on the service list...
But OEM wipers from dealer will cost you a bit more.. try to source from somewhere else and change it by yourself!

Ah alright, I bought some Bosch wipers a month ago, I didn't want to walk to my car to discover them missing! Good to know they wont automatically do things like that though

pollen filter alone is $80!!

and the labour involved in changing fuel filter / valve clearance will push the price up...

so $600 doesnt sound too bad, but personnally, i did it myself

Pollen filter should only be getting changed every multiple of 30, eg 30K, 60k, 90K, etc etc.

Pollen filter should only be getting changed at the 80K if you specifically ask for it to be done.

got my 80K service done a couple of months back and it cost me only $400. Not through a dealer. If its out of warranty then save some money and go somewhere else.
