is there any previous thread about changing your primary o2 sensor?

my questions are. where can i buy one (honda, repco, autobarn) that is compatible with the o2 currently in my - 96 civic sohc d16y8??

Buy it from Honda. You need one specifically for your model year. It's an o2 sensor with a long wire that ends in a clip. So just disconnect the clip, unhook it off the supports and remove the O2 sensor. To install, do the reverse.

hey mate,
you can get it through honda (and be prepared to pay an arm and a leg lol) or ring up auto-one/auto barn ect ect and get one through them, to get one without the plug is about $100 approx, with the plug is about double that, thats what i got told when i asked. Then all you have to do is if you get the one without the plug, unplug and take off your old o2 sensor, cut the old wires below the plug and solder on the new wires (colour coded) and reinstall (i.e. follow the instructions =]) or if you get the o2 sensor with the plug, just plug and play mate
