Don't mind the look. Looks like a Merc A-class. Really depends on what engines and standard specs it comes with though.
I'm looking at the current model so hopefully will get 1 at a real good price.

i think the new model is getting released here in the next few months... i'd still wait a bit until they start rocking up in dealers for that discount.

Looks nice at the front, quite an aggresive look, cant say the same for the back

With this release imminent, I should probably wait till its on the market before I start looking for one. hopefully it'll bring the prices down on the current model

DoMk

i wouldn't buy it... not a big fan of the colour either, but would be intresting to see the specs.

Wont be cheaper than current model. It will be slighly more actually due to increase in tariff and duty.

You're right :) But I dont mind the current model, and im guessing that with releases of newer models normally result in lower prices for the "older/current" models so that dealers can clear old stock?

So if the current models were priced in 18k new, im hoping to get 17k or less for a second hand? :)

I'd hope to get 17k or less for a new Jazz of an old model. That's what I'll be chasing when I get 1 in Aug/Sept.

17k probably GLI 1.3

Looks like a Merc A Class from behind, however in front, dont know what but that front grille is definitely borrowed from the current Accord Euro.

still prefer the exterior of the GD3, but i do like the interior of the new GE jazz
if that interior was in a GD then it would perfect IMO

Thumbs up from me. I'll still milk another 5 years or so out of the 05 Jazz VTI before I think of buying another Jazz, I'd be very surprised if it beats the current Jazz's on fuel economy.

Some better pictures here:

And yes, apparantly fuel economy will be better due to taller gearing and DBW throttle.

Seeing these pics makes me want a new model instead. Pity dealers would be very lucky to move on price with a newly released car.

Just wonder...If thailand are seeing the traditional 5 speed auto, does that mean the CVT is finished? I certainly hope not.

I think from memory, the Japanese market still have the CVT for the new model.

kelvinthai
21-06-2008, 04:20 PM
not too sure of japan market. However our part, asia and US has no CVT for the new model.

95331140
21-06-2008, 05:40 PM
I'd still rather a CVT over a 5spd auto anyday.

Also, looking at the Thailand website, the new jazz will have Disc brakes all round. And the US model won't...!

the top of the line Jazz in Singapore has the HID lights as standard as well. I think the moonroof was an option but mmm. wouldn't mind downgrading to that car if petrol prices over here continue to go up.

Looking at the Singapore web site the new Jazz looks sweeeettt in specs. More power, bigger rims, better auto, MP3 and iPod stereo, rear disc brakes and heaps more.
http://www.honda.com.sg/cars/jazz09_spec_15.htm
VS
http://www.honda.com.au/wps/wcm/connect/internet/Honda.com.au/Home/Showroom/Jazz/Specifications/

Makes me kinda wish I'd waited till the new model came out but couldn't really afford it anyway. Even the 1.3Ltr has i-VTEC

On the contrary, new cars "normally" come with unforeseen problems, and it takes a facelift or 2 to fix those problems, at least u bought a car that had the majority of its problems with known fixes

And if you go on waiting, u'd never find the perfect car :p there's bound to be something better in the future :D

Hi mate

Guangzhou China Honda manufacturer already launched sale of New Fit.

1.3 L Fit is front disc +rear drum.

1.5L Fit is Front and rear disc.

SPEEDCORE

Yeah.... I could live with the combo you mentioned but what market is that for?

USA released ones will only be available in 1.5L, yet retain drum rears according to this http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=NpKjf8j6COs&feature=related

Just noticed from those spy pics in Melb...... indicators are not intergrated into the side mirrors like the japanese model and it is on the front guard *sigh*

Just came back from a Honda dealership. Australian dealers are having a Jazz day on 29 July when pricing and specs will be revealed. Sales starts in August. Most likely 1.5l only, in 3 spec levels and 6 colorus (+ 2 transmission options).
