Just wondering what is a good fuel pump to have in a DC5R , as in whats a bigger one that can be fitted in a DC5R rather then the standard one. Also is it good to have a bigger fuel pump and does it stress the engine more or is it beneficial to it.

Some personal expiriences would be good.

thanks in advance.

U dont need a bigger fuel pump full stop.

Stock one is more than capable.

why do people get better ones then? They wouldn't do it for nothing.

Just because people get them it doesn't mean you need one.
Usually time to upgrade is when the stock pump cant keep up with the load from high output motors running huge injectors and fuel demands.

Your fuel pressure isnt gonna change just cos u got a bigger pump, its governed by the regulator,so nothing changes except your bank balance, unless u got some monster pump that just overpowers the stock regulator.
Then u'll just be running rich & making less power, then u got start adding aftermarket regulators, ecu's & all just to get nearly back to where u started from.
When uve spent at least $10k on your motor, then u might start looking at fuel system upgrades.
