since you have a EK cxi , you need all the running gear from say a EK4 halfcut.

if u get a front cut, thatll be everything needed for the conversion...
u need engine, gearbox, drive shafts, loom, ecu, they are the main things

from EK cxi, the engine mount is different (can use EK4 mounts), needs a conversion from OBD1 to OBD2, if you are keeping the power steering and AC, the mounts for the compressor and power steering are different.

throttle cable also needs to be lengthened. you can use the bottom rad hose, but not the upper hose.

loom colours are all different, and needs to be rewired. and the most important stuff is, check the 'green' plug, as most of the working electrical comes from this green plug (EK1) such as the rad fan power relay, reverse light switch, etc.

Would it be the same things i need if i have a EK GLi?

EK cxi, EK Gli, EG Gli. all the same thing. Breeze will be even harder, cos you need a total swap for the fuel system.

usually driveshafts don't come with it. but some do, it depends. some halfcut don't get brakes nor ECU. so you gotta check everything.

but most of the time, they come with everything you need.

Where would you source half cuts?

Lets say JDM B18c?

you're in Sydney, why don't u try places like JDM Yard or BEL Garage, etc.

most workshops that deal with Hondas they usually can help you source this out

EK cxi uses OBD2a non Vtec harness

while the Gli uses the OBD1 non Vtec loom harness

first of all, apologies for digging up an old thread.
but i used the search function and found that this would probably be
a more appropriate place to ask rather than starting a new thread.

I'm currently PLANNING my 98 Spec B18CR conversion. Since I've
got quite a few questions to ask, I've tried to make the job of those
who are kindly answering them a bit easier. You basically have to
answer yes/no to most of these questions. I will separately ask the
questions further down which may require some extra clarification.

1) 98 Spec JDM ITR = OBD2 ?
2) Direct drop into EG, use ITR mounts ?
3) Can use DC2R radiator, AC, PS ?

now for the more in depth questions:

A) i've seen a couple of pics of some jdm itr headers on the engine. They seem to
protrude out more than my D15 headers currently are. Is this due to the jdm cats
being shorter? Hence, if i use the jdm itr headers with my standard cat and exhaust,
they will not line up and cat will be too long? Also piping diameter also appears to
be different (anybody know the actual size?). If this is the case, COULD I use a diff
flange on the cat, to bolt onto headers, and cut some length off the back pipe and
reweld so that it is the correct length?
That's the way I was thinking of doing it, if there's any other ways please let me know!

B) What's the deal with the loom? I am very confused about this part. Assuming that
the DC2R loom is OBD2, I will have my loom which is OBD0? and the DC2R loom which
is OBD2. So I'm taking that I will need to use the entire OBD2 loom? Having seen ECU
MAN's writeup on the DC2R into EG conversion, his image of the loom also includes
the fuse box (underdash or engine bay?)

Cheers
Mike
