the guys selling tells me it is only for DC2R and EK9...
he says it can fit my VTiR but needs some modifications. i would like to know if it really can fit and also what needs to be done to make it fit.
Thanks

I think you might need to run your stock intake arm. I could be wrong

Yes sorry EK9 and DC2R are sold seperately. i dont know where i got that from...
this is the link for the intake
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=280232627394&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=018
so this should fit without any probs as long as i am using stock intake arm?
can anyone confirm?
Thanks

best way to do it is buy a skunk2 intake manifold or a second hand type r intake manifold and the mugen intake will fit straight on. If you are prepared to spend that much on the mugen then you might as well do it properly and get the most out of it!

i've got a mugen airbox in my vtir, perfect fitment.
if u have the older models (97 and under i think?) the abs unit is slightly larger so its abit tricky to work around but other then that its the same as type R.
i have a TypeR intake arm though duno if that made a diffrence

Yes I believe this to be the case as the abs unit was quite bulky on 93-97 models, and Type R intake arm is possibly slightly larger in diameter.

I just got a Mugen intake installed today on my 97 VTI-R by the guys at Toda
Didnt look that hard to install, just had to move afew things out of the way to get the box in like my HID kit but other than that there were no problems
The stock pipe fits straight on
The response from the car is alot better, im loving it

anyone installed on pre 97 or had any experience with it?
Maybe the guys at Toda could shed some light if they do installs?
Thanks

lol i made the same mistake twice and typed 97 instead of 98...
as said a few posts back the abs unit is slightly larger on 94-97 models.

does anyone know what needs to be moved to fit the intake, and can suggest where to move to?

Never the less, that's quite exxy. I'd rather buy from JDM concept or JDM yard. Reputable sellers, and shops based in Sydney.
