its pretty good, problem is it didn't tell the difference between the 96 and 98- type r's as i got a 96spec in my dc2 and it's a pretty noticeable difference to my friends 98. but otherwise good to see how they all come together

i actually meant on ur link (dc2r)

that information has been around for a while now (everyone basically copy and pastes it around)

at the very end they compare all the upgrades/changes made to the VTiR to what became the ITR dc2R

ie a bit of weight is gained through all the strengthening mods and recaros

but alot more weight is lost thru weight reduction

it just doesn't mention the sunroof. (i thought the sunroof is standard on all VTiR)

I think the Jap spec V-TIR never came with a sunroof correct me if Im wrong. But Im pretty sure thats why the article never had the comparison only reason i can see they didn't put it in neway.

yeah Honda au's data given to databases of the dc2r is 1080kg, not sure if that included fuel+fluids or not, or with the A/C included.

our dc2r weighed 1113kg at our local track's scrutineering weighbridge with 1kg resolution. That's with just under 1/4 tank of fuel, with spare wheel and tools in car, has an aftermarket alarm system and Honda aust fitted CD changer, toda headers, high flow car and mugen catback and otherwise stock car.

my eg5 in similar trim weighs about 1046kg.

Correct, AUDM is based on UK spec but without the rear fog light and optional front foggies, suspension (bar the 4x114 hub) is all JDM '96 spec.

Sunroofs were standard in all Integras, GSi and VTi-R untill the Integra had a facelift in 98, then it was an option.

ABS became standard in late '97 for both models making sunroof an option thereafter for GSi.

what about VTi-R?

;2016251']what about VTi-R?
not sure, every VTi-R I've seen had a sunroof. In the context of what I read it only referred to GSi.

Surpisingly A/C was a dealer fitted option, and hence the most popular option.

whats that all about?

anyone can tell me the differences??

didn't know we use rear A arms??

there is just top lca, bottom lca & trailing arm???

and whats the difference in the front?

I should have clarified, AUDM is JDM '96 spec suspension, never heard of "A" arms. Front is double wishbone and rear is trailing arm.

Ahhh I called them A-arms. Cos I have heard that term before. Indy @ ISMR and Ben @ Touge Tune call them that too. Might not be entirely correct. You know how you can get Cusco rear camber arm adjusters... that's the part I was referring to. They are JDM 96 Spec, and not JDM 98 spec. Apparently makes a big difference, and Mr Spoon talks about them being a worth while upgrade in the Type R legend video.

Yeah it's the upper control arm, like you said different on '96 & '98 Spec JDM ITR, Ichishima-san says it gives easier handling.
