Hey guys, I was really really tired one day and drove off without capping my fuel tank. Is it safe to leave it uncapped? I bought those temporary ones from the service station just in case; will those last?

Do u know anywhere i can purchase one for a Honda Civic 1994 sedan model?

not really advisable but get a honda one cause others may become loose as obv fuel cap must be tight at all times so

if you buy a new one or used one not much difference and both works fine..

oh btw clean a used one just inacse of dirty may get into ur fuel tank when filling up :D

nah the temporary ones should last you forever. its just a fuel cap.

unless you want to pay rediculous amounts for mugen ones like myself.

You can use temporary one, but just make sure it tight fit (by listen there are pressure release sound, psssss, when you open the fuel cap). Otherwise too danger with fuel evaporate around you car and waste $$$ in long term with fuel evaporating.

remember that fuel caps actually have to hold the pressure created in the tank by the return.
not having a fuel cap means you have a continuous supply of oxygen entering as pressure escapes.
ever tried leaving a cup of fuel overnight and finding that in the morning its all evaporated?
fuel efficiency will be the major issue.

and with these petrol prices.
id rather grab a 30 dollar fuel cap than letting that 1.70/litre fuel evaporate slowly into the atmosphere. =]

ghetto styles?
lynx cap =]
glad wrap, even better. and you get 3metres of it too =]
