Interchangable Parts for EP3

since parts are not readily available for the EP, we need to source parts from other hondas, should use this thread to list whats interchangeble and what is not so we can save a bit of time and $$. ill kick it off...

i bought an EU garnish assuming itd fit the ep, look identical but the clips are in dif positions wtf

yeh it's the actuator for the locking mechanism so when you press the remote it auto goes up and down. My passenger one was dead when the car came across, I spoke to some wreckers and Honda and apparently it's a common fault. Had to get a new one from honda as no wreckers had one as they get snapped up....$195.20 new which is a rip but what can you do.

brake rotors are the same and i think pads as well but have to confirm that one.

$2000 is also interchangable with anything you want!

Internal engine parts, clutch and most service parts (air, oil fuel etc) with the DC5.

Yep pads are same as S2000/DC5R.

Front camber bolts and rear bushes are the same as DC5.

You can use DC5R coilovers into EP3, but you need to shave the metal bushings a bit and use DC5R tie rod ends.

You can also use JDM/AUDM DC5R rear sway bar, but only AUDM Front sway bar.

Front and rear brake pads are the same as AUDM DC5R.

Yes I am very very sure, because I personally helped a mate put on a Cusco Rear sway bar from a DC5R onto his EP3R.

Hey guys,

If u are needing to replace ur airconditioning condenser for whateva reason, you can use the eu civic one with some minor modification. At the smash repairs they replaced mine and they said it was basically the same just needed to put brackets at the top of the air cond to hold it in place. Not the best information but might get u out of trouble down the track if ever ur air cond starts playing up for whateva reason lol

EU is the gen7 civic hatch we had from Honda Australia.

EP3 / Si coil overs will bolt directly into the EU with minor mods to where it bolts to the hub. The EP3 use a slightly larger bolt than the EU. There is nothing else to be changed as that is exactly what I'm running in my EU.

the EU grill looks like integrated into the bumper (ie 1 piece) so i dun think u can just swap the grill.

I know it's not, it's also not a flat black, it's a gunmetal grey. I'll get some pics up soon, take a couple tommorow and show you guys. Not sure if I like it or not personally.

Want to switch it for a mugen front grille.

checked it, and they are different. You have to buy EP3's scuttle panel.

Its just a K20 motor! Most K20 parts are interchangeable!

I think I blew my clutch master cyclinder and was reading up http://forums.clubep3.com/showthread.php?t=657177, it looks like the 7th gen civic clutch master cyclinder from 2001-2005 are also interchangeable with an EP3 as it appears that the OEM EP3 CMC is defective.

The part number I got is 46920-s9a-j06, but from google searches is that the original one from the EP3? I'll confirm when I get home, just trying to compare it to this pic
