Hi all.

I'm looking for a set of white halogen lights (not blue, so <5000K) that is reasonably durable. I've had two sets of PIAAs and one set of Philips that have fried in less than a year and a half. I don't know if I'm just unlucky, but it seems like some other people have had durability issues with these sorts as well. I want something with the clear glass as well... don't want to not see well at night :)

Any suggestions appreciated.

having a dying alternator that spikes voltages kills lights... having a really stiff car causing vibrations also kills lights.

alternator fine... tested twice at different places

I heard these whiter lights just burn hotter/filaments thinner... do people agree with them lasting shorter time?

i thought the average life of lights > 4000k were about 1.5 years
