jus wanna tighten my engine mounts.. coz at low rpm sounds like there is a rattle..

but got no idea where they are on my del sol..

anyone got any pics or anything to help???

forget the rear one as you can't reach it without removing the midshaft and if you don't know where they are then you shouldn't even be going near this.

If you look at your engine bay front on, theres one mount on each side, one is behind powersteering reservoir on your right, the other is directly on the opposite side in clearest view under the airbox.

there are 2 more smaller 'stabilizer' mounts behind both wheel arch mud guards.. can get to it from under the car...

where does the rattle sound like its coming from?

oh ok.. yeah prob wont worry about it..

just when im going up hill.. at low rpm.. even in 1st gear.

may be nothing.

describe it.... theres so many rattles that could happen.... general location narrows down quite a bit...

i had a rattle develop after driving th 800kms to Tweed Heads from Sydney, only to find out my driver side engine mount was barely hanging off the bolt which had vibrated itself lose (removed gearbox week before).... and i had no tools to correct something so simple.. had to call nrma. had i driven maybe another 100kms i would have lost that big bolt entirely and their kinda hard to find second hand...
