hey everyone just picked up a 94 jap delivered GSi
I know that the B18B2 is a non Vtec engine but mine has a blue V-tec rocker cover i didn't think there were any to fit mine Any way back to the topic after giving my mate a ride in mine he jumped in his 97 VTIR and said mine pulls harder anyone think of any reason why this may be
<Neither of us could figure it out>
any help appreciated

every engine is different
perhaps u one was kept better
GSi have a slightly bigger displacement too so that mite add 2 it.
otherwise it could be anything........ lol

LS/VTEC (b16a head & R/C etc) is the only way your going to get the R/C to fit + having VTEC.

keep in mind as well that ur not gonna hear v-tec 'kicking in' in a B18C2 either... change over is not that aggresive standard...

When my exhaust cam comes on its stupidly loud when without a aftermarket exhaust.

it could be a jap vtir, which doesnt have sunroof or air bags which might make u think its a gsi from the outside.

Intake cam is mid 4000rpm and exhaust when the noise changes is around 6000rpm.

i think VTEC on a b18c2 comes on at around 4.7krpms.
at 6k i think its the runners from ur intake manifold that your hearing.

short runner opens 5800
