wheel after drying :-(

recently bought an old RA1 (95) odyssey, i thought the alloy wheels were dirty as they looks whiteish and had road grime etc on them.

so i sprayed some wheel cleaner on them and got into them with a mag wheel brush to loosen and remove the crap, but after they dried they went back whiteish / chaulky.

obviosuly some type of oxydisation, how to get rid of it ? what products ?

Try polishing it with silvo or braso, you can buy them from any supermarket, and with a bit of elbow greese it should get rid of the oxydisation

Brasso or Autosol on a cotton cloth and go for it. Finish up with NXT metal polish if you have some, or just use the same wax that you use on your paint.

sounds like brasso it is, will try when it stops raining.

i use brasso to re-surface cd's and dvd's didnt think about using it on mag wheels to.

*thinks to self* is there anything brasso cant do ? lol

Don't use brasso to polish your forehead.
