eg sedan cigarette jack question

hey peeps..
i have always wondered the switch in my eg sedan at the cigarette jack location was for?
further investigation revealed that the wires were disconnected at the back

Ok.. next few questions.. I have decided to pop in a cigarette lighter jack myself as I need power for my phone at times, and I've managed to find this from a friend

Next question is whether I'm having insufficient wires for the jack? and also, where do I connect it too?
only place I can find is a loom with 3 wires in it, black, red, and yellow/red.

you will have to trace the wires back to what it is powering.

Black is ground, Red is permanent power, Yellow/Red is Accessory power or Light Dim; can't remember but i think it ACC

yeah, it was disconnected and was left there..
yeah thought it wasnt stock..
all i need is a cigarette lighter.. :(
