what changes to the car would have to be done to the car?

removing b16a from my ek4 and putting in a b18c2 with b18c7 bottom end.

just need to run your loom and get conversion harness to suit what ecu type u are going to run
everything else u use from the ek4

lol why wouldnt u just get the dc2r head aswell? as its better then the vti-r...
im guessing the motors would be a str8 swap as they are both B series

I think there would be a bit more to it but then again I don't really know a lot.

So you had a new engine put in your ef8?

I can't see the benefit of a b18c7 bottom end with a b18c2 head Josh - But i know you havn't got much choice :)

if im not mistaken its a b18c2 with typre r bottom end internals... e.g. crank pistons, rings, rods, bearings, etc..

if your on a tight budget, why not just use the b18 bottom and a b16 head?

how about ef8????

ef8 b16a to b18c

much difference?

do a straight engine swap and retain the cable gearbox, pretty much only have to upgrade the loom to suit OBD0-OBD1/2. a few guys have done it with the cable gearbox, cable to hydro and full hydro so plenty of options

It's off a mate so it would cost more having to get the b18c then putting my b16a head on unless I got it pre done which would probably cost more anyway.(mates rates).

Thanks for the input mate. Atleast there are some people that help people instead of trying to jack the thread.

just do a b20/vtec.

He mate has a b20 as well but I think the b18 is probably the best option for me at the moment.

just do a b20/vtec.

that will be expensive tho, cos you need to replace the b20 bottom end with stronger internals as its not designed for high revving VTEC head.
