I believe it's the ecu.

Apparently if you replace the cluster, the odo reading can be taken from the ecu, so your original k's will be shown on the new cluster.

Can't remember where i read that.

It prolly just reflashes the engine side of things, not the odo side of things.

uh.. dunno who told you that..

but i recently changed my ecu, and chip sensor(for the key) in my euro

and retained the original kilometres

why did you change your ecu?

What about the guy with the fried ecu due to reflashing?? Is the mileage still the same?

the guy who fried his ecu was suntzu i think.
and due to different flash settings i think it would consume more mileage.

why would you need to do that? no compatible ecu out there for euro unless your running 2 ECU to keep the factoy settings of VSA etc.

car was water damaged.. replaced with seond hand one.
