hey guys, i installed twin loop on my civic fd around 3 months ago, wasnt happy with the sounds as it sounded STOCK!!!i mean no difference compared to friends fd, so i asked my muffler guy what to do what to do?
only solution is to take the rear resonator off, so we went ahead with that, love the noise....but its popping when down shift or wen hold high rpm den let go of the gas, why is this??

love that sound. :)
just means theres excess fuel floating around ur exhuast.
ie. car is running slightly rich. nothing really to worry about, better to be slightly rich then lean.
my evo back fires abit to coming off boost

can i just say that your exhaust is not backfiring it is afterfireing.
backfire: explosion of fuel in the intake, due to your car running lean, spark timing to advanced.
afterfire: unburnt fuel exploding in the exhaust system, due to fuel pressure issues, rich tune, poor timing, poor spark and many other possible issues..
to have afterfire is not such a bad thing, depending on the cause.
if a car is backfiring i recomend to get it looked at as you could blow your intake manifold to bits, or even worse your motor.

You need to clarify the sound as these everyone here thinks you mean a nasty backfire and hence engine problems.
I think you mean the nice burbling and little pop here and there, if so then it's normal, your stock exhaust was doing it's job by silencing it in the first place.
