your Vtir wont have the hardware to make use of the ing and fuel maps of the JDM ECU, is the JDM ECU OBDII or I ,and what year is your VTiR
Yeh it would make a difference... you'll lose power. What ECU-MAN said... two different engines with different characteristics.
And VTIR have a 2 stage intake manifold.. and the ECU can't cope with that..

Sorry, something to add, if you REALLY REALLY wanna use that JDM ecu, you have 3 alternatives
1. Block the 2nd runner valve, it will make the 2nd runner open all the way, you will gain approx 4-5ps on wheel after tune, not sure about jdm ecu, should be fine
2. Skunk2 manifold, but acutally for stock engine, vti-r have better mid range torque than Type-r
3. get B16 head or type-r head, do engine work, my way of poor man's type-r
