View Full Version : How to remove stickers from car?

I've had some stickers on my car for almost 3 years now and have recently decided to remove them. Civic coupe VTi-R owners will know that there are 'DOHC_VTEC' stickers on the side of the car - I want to remove them along with 2 other stickers I stuck myself.

Seeing that these stickers have been on the car for almost 3 years, I was thinking that peeling them off normally might take off the paint underneath with it. True?

Anyone have any recommendations on how to remove old stickers?

Thanks

SiR

just peel them off.
You wont damage the paint - trust me :)

use a hair dryer to melt the glue a bit, and they should peel off no worries. :P

u shouldn't peel the paint off... but it might be slightly less faded underneath the sticker :P

while we're on the topic of stickas.. i have an idea.. hehee

after i get my wheels, and do some CAI and maybe catback exhaust, i'm thinking of taking off my VTIR sticka and sticking on a GLI sticka!!

do u guys know if honda sells these stickas??

you would be a ricer to whack a cxi sticker on a VTiR.
too many differences to notice that its not a CXi LOL
i.e. black mirrors, no sunroof + all the interior. :)

but it would be funny tho and it has been done

so you reckon some guy in a Pulsar Q will notice the differences?
or how about a lancer VR-X? 8)

Yeah, no decals seems better.
