I recently had my 92 Civic converted to turbo tried running really low boost at first but still did the head gasket, so I decided to bite the bullet and took it off the road for a while (again) and prepare for a rebuild.

Ok I'm doing the internals and everything with lower comp forged pistons. My question is...

Because I'm lowering the comp I know I need to get it re-tuned but the way the guy that did all the work setup the build was using my stock ECU and injectors and 2 aux injectors running off a microtech for when it comes on boost (he said it was to cut down on fuel consumption.

Will this setup cause problems for me????

Sounds like ur confused as to the setup.

The 2 aux injectors are essentially another way to get more fuel into your engine, the microtech will most likely be a micro fueler type unit to control it.

Can you see if there is a hobbs switch in your engine bay?

Yeah I understand what the purpose of the aux injectors are and the extra fuel for the extra air blah blah... What really confuses me is if its going to be a simple remap and tune to get it to run with lower compression, or will I need to spend more money on an ECU again (really don't wanna do this spent way to much for the work the guy done already)

I believe your gonna need a full ECU.
The stock ECU will not be able to handle the change in compression.
Under boost you will now need more fuel to compensate for the lower compression.

Thats not what I wanted to hear but was afraid of that being the case. I'll have to see exactly what kind of Microtech the guy put in coz he was telling me with a full rebuild the setup has the potential to run 20psi +. I'm thinking there's no cheap way out of this which pisses me off coz I paid the auto elec $3000 already to do what he done.

Just my two cents: What i have read says that you have the stock ecu with, essentially a piggyback microtech. Could you just upgrade the piggyback computer so that it has more control? i.e, Fuel, ignition, etc

Yeah the thing I'm pissed about is the guy only done all the work a few months ago. I blew the head gasket and saved for a rebuild I don't wanna spend more cash on an ecu which should already be in the car.

I do have a chipped ecu with the crome rom editor but he couldn't get the car to run without the engine light staying on so he didn't wanna risk it.

If the check engine light is on, the ECU is throwing a code you need to find out what it is and fix it - the codes are very helpful and direct you to exactly what the problem is there is no excuse for ignoring them. Piggybacks are just asking for trouble. The bare minimum you should be using is Crome. Extra injectors with a piggyback is a lame hack, your old engine probably blew from too much ignition timing under boost.
