ehm i want to know what you guys like most or what style are you into now??

JDM or VIp?? i kinda like both of them, but my brother like Vip most

lol so i want to see your opinion

I think it depends on the colour you're gonna go.

I've seen plenty of black FDs that have gone both VIP and JDM, whereas whites only go JDM.

Personally I would go JDM coz I like the sporty look.

i think larger cars pull off the vip look better

but its your car and your going to be driving it so do what you like...

JDM = sporty or oem factory look
VIP = gangster kinda look (big sedan with chrome wheels)

VIP doesnt necessarily have to have chrome wheels.

yea but my mate have a white FD with 19s not chrome black with polished metal around and chrome lip....IMHO, it looks nice but not nice enough for me...i like the jdm look...well his aim was to create a cruiser so hes done well...respect that...so it depends on what outcome u want to achieve at the end of ur project (if it ever has an ending to it)LOLZ

Yep.

JDM = Japanese Domestic Market. Have you seen how they modify cars in Japan (ie the Japanese Domestic Market)? The Japanese market is full of chrome, vip, gull wings, rice, clean, etc etc etc.

Yes I have, i'm just saying the GT wings, performance mods, etc... isn't VIP

I think more importantly is that we know what the OP is getting at even though the 2 are similar in some things.

yeah vip doesnt have to be chrome wheels,
if you see car with chromy wheel on the road mostly they dont look like vip at all, they just want to look bling bling

i reckon vip is more into cleaness bodykit, lowered,big wheels with deep dish rims x9 x10
and these day, its more into crazy chamber

i like both,

this thread is more into what majority people here modify their Fd, what style are you into now, which one you like most

from some overseas forum, their modified fd more into vip, few jdm

prolly hre more jdm then vip or something

VIP look anyday. FD1 is slow.. If u rice it JDM... u got no power to show.. kinda sad really..

FD1 is not that slow man...drove MY07 Impreza, MY07 Lancer and to be honest...FD1 is the quikest out of the competitor well cept for the new lancers.

It all depends what the wheels look like. And Airbag suspension?? Sounds expensive :eek:

U have to get a lip kit as well on your car. It makes a hell of a difference in the complexion of the car. And with the lip, it makes it look lowered (no need for air suspension)

VIP - no rear wing/spoiler. JDM - install wing/spoiler.

But yeah, heaps of pple comment on my car as soon as I had the lip kit and slapped some 18's on. Hope this helps with your decision on what you wanna do with ur car.

How much power do you need? If you want to be fast, go do it on the track. 103kW is more than enough for public roads.

Max average speed you're gonna go is like 60km/h and you don't need to get from 0km-60km/h in 2 secs do you?

and with all the school zones in place you're gonna have to slow down anyway.
