Hi guys,

I was wondering if a DC2R cat back buddy club spec 2 exhaust would fit onto a VTiR Teg without major/minor modifications? :)

Are the buddy club exhausts very loud, or? Would it have a worthwhile power gain on a otherwise stock car.

Regards,
Tommo.

Hey guys - just digging up an old issue.

From what I understand the DC2R OEM exhaust + cat + headers are a perfect fit for the VTIR, BUT, in your opinion is it worth it or are any gains negligible?

I'm not looking for a loud and expensive exhaust system - I've done the hardcore tuning thing with my old DC5R and R34 GT-T, but I still have the urge to tinker with my current car so an inexpensive upgrade is what I'm after - seeing as though there are an abundance of cheap 2nd hand exhausts in the for sale section I would seriously consider this as an option.

Let me know what your thoughts are all.

If you're looking for a little bit more top end power the ITR exhaust is the way to go. Its affordable, stainless steel (a little polishing wouldn't hurt :p) & will bolt on to DC2 VTiR without worries. SiR/VTiR B16A & B18C b-pipe =48.6mm,axleback muffler 50.8mm. Whereas the B16B/B18CR b-pipe =57.2mm,axleback muffler 76mm. Most jap aftermarket exhausts are 60mm & above. They are ideal if you've done major work to your motor (ex: changed to higher comp. pistons, more aggressive cams, stroker kits, etc.)

Hope this helps :)

Thanks for the advice Spoon SiRG. Sounds like it may be a go-er.

Now to source a clean exhaust system!
