My front tweeters are coming on and off. I am not sure if it is burnt or wat, but i just had it installed. The sound coming from front is so dull and dead, which means the tweeters are probably gone. Somehow, it sounds bright, then dead aft a while. I am pretty sure that it is the tweeters getting connected and then disconnected, and then it comes on again, then off. Is this problem because of the install, or just the tweeters are dead?? I was cranking my stereo, and suddenly it sounds dull. Please help, where should i look into? My crossover connection? or the connection to the processor?

I had a similar prob in my Ek i was cracking it and one of my tweeters starts sounding lik it was blown... it was the crossovers there was a bit of wire bridged and it interferred with teh tweeter... or the cross over could be connected the wrong way around

its aftermarket tweeters. Dont worry guys, found the problem, blown fuse on crossover. Fixed it. But just wanna know, wat result to blown fuse on crossovers? I had my all the gains at very low. Just turn the volume up to 25, when the max is 30. After 10 mins, gone. lolx.

But the fuse is the one that came with the splits. It is fixed in the crossover, where do i find a bigger fuse?? It is a T162S split of rockford fosgate.

How handy are you minute steady soldering?
Take it to a tv/electronics fixing place and ask them to look at it.

If you were able to sit in the car and listen to it, presumably with windows up, it wouldn't have been any louder than what RF should definitely be capable of. Unless the amp gave out a bad signal or something :S
