Hi, i am planning to lower my 97 DC2 teg, at the momment is all stock with
17" BBS rims.. I am thinking of getting it lowered 2" to cover the ugly gap between the rims and the panels...... thinking of getting Kings springs... how much do you reckon is a fair price for this kind of job in Sydney including wheel allingment??
cheers!

300-400 for springs only, however I think a 2" drop will wear out the shocks very quickly. I have always been told 1.5-1.7" = ok for the shocks and 2"+ should replace. Correct me if I am wrong.

instead of getting king springs you can go for peddars springs, which are around the same price range and better quality imo. i had 17's on my dc4 and lowered the back 1 inch just to close up the gap. there was about a 1 finger gap between tyre and panel.
and at the front you wanna lower it 1.5-2" to even out the gap size only because the front guard is larger.
it all depends how long you wanna keep the car because if you lower it 2" or more, you have to expect to replace your shockers alot sooner.
an alternative is to get your stock springs reset. my friend just got his da9 lowered by resetting his springs and it cost him around 200bucks to get it done. comes out really good.
hope that helps PANJAB
