can i splice a wire from the amp power cable to the trigger my amp? i will be using a switch to turn the amp on and off that's has a 20v cap.

thats what i used to do... when i had it all set up in my room lol

well there's ground, acc and power.

so i'll simply ground the ground connection, remote the acc connection and power up the power connection.

You mean you will put a U-Shaped wire going from the Amp's power to the Remote? Yes that would work I did it to mine during testing.

y cant u use the acc wire off the head unit ?

(power antenna wire off head unit works aswell)

that way head unit controls amp on/off no need for seperate switch.

if u cant b F'ed running a wire from the head deck a switch would me more toublesome as u'd have to run wires form the amp to the swith somewhere around the dash (easy 2 reach) anyway.

otherwise a direct splice from power to the acc on the amp would mean amp allways on.

just gaining knowledge that ur running of a stock HU so thats why u need the switch...
