hey guys,

i have a front n rear 5x114.3 dc2r brake conversion that's missing its rear trailing arms..
is it possible for me to use dc2/4 rear trailing arms to fit the 5 stud rears ?

also would the dc2 brake prop. valve be adequate to use with the 5 stud or would i really need dc2r brake prop. valve

any help appreciated...
cheers

dont know about the trailing arm question, but for the prop valve i suggest that if you are going to go a bigger one then you should also upgrade the brake booster/master cylinder. also does the car come standard with rear discs?

already upgraded my bmc + booster to dc2r.. due to a brake upgrade..
now i want to install the dc2r brakes and just wonderin if i can do it using my old rear trailing arms and if it is really necessary to change to dc2r prop valve...
thanks

are there any differences in dc2r trailing arms to dc2/dc4 trailing arms?

i think diff would be bearing size and hub but would be all the same
fitting on there would be another story i dont know

yes i agree with lan, with the bearing being the major difference. why dont you play around with it and see how it goes. but my guess is if honda-tech would have tried and proven this, it would have been a more popular swap rather than swapping over the whole trailing arm.

which civics came with 40/40 prop valve?

you can remove the drums off the traling arm of the EG and bolt the DC2R hubs on, you have to remove the stud and start from the bare trailing arm

oh serious, so you dont really need the whole trailing arm when converting to 5lug? just change over the hubs and straight bolt on yeh.
