97 Teg Central Locking/Keyless Entry

Hey guys
I need abit of help here..

Im tired of opening my car by fiddling with the keys, so I am after a remote central locking/keyless entry system.

I dont know if my car has central locking - (I AM NOOB LOL).. What I do know is that if you lock the car from the drivers side the other door locks but if you lock the passenger door the drivers side does NOT lock

Can anyone advise me on what I need to get in order to achieve this.. (Cheaply ofcourse).. I dont really want to go for an alarm system because theres not much to steal in my car haha and majority of the time when the car is not being driven it is garaged..

also, regarding installation, is their anyone recommened in brisbane area ( i dont really mind a drive and have about 4 weeks of holidays to spare so time is not an issue lol)

i went to Strathfield and Autobarn in Slacks Creek and they both quoted me 270 installed :eek:

sounds like you have oem Honda central locking.

there is an actuator motor on the passenger side, but none on the drivers side, as you are turning it yourself with the key.
If you want to install keyless entry, you will need to buy a system to suit and the difference in price to upgrade to an alarm won't be that much.
usually comes with a control unit and you will need to install a master actuator into the drivers door. (being master, will control the passenger door)
