Hey,

hey guys well im new to this forum as i have just got myself an integra 03 model, first ill say awsome car :D love it, and what a joy to drive :)

just wanted to know the ticking noise ? in the engine ? is that normal for the VTECH ? its a bad loud ticking just hear the tick tick tick tick, and the whine ?

The noise is more on the idle side, dosnt get worse on accelerate, goes away, then comes back on idle, some1 said they THINK its normale but he aint a honda expert

Definitely not normal.. could be anything.. but if its consistant even while you accelerate then its really hard to say what it might be.. I was gonna guess pistons but like you said its a consistant sound.. either way i would probably get it check out as soon as i can.. anyways i hope you enjoy your new car mate =]

sounds like it might be your tappets or valve springs...im not 100% in the know how about this, someone may want to clarify

You may need to get your valves checked and adjusted.

yeah....its the tappets .....get someone to adjust it a bit and it will go away....mine does have that too...its normal....

sounds like tappets...............my dc2r does the same thing, i just havnt had time to adjust them or get soemone else to do it.............i think honda charge $100 to do them
