My dealer sent me the RRP prices for accessories for the 09 Euro today

The very nice sports grille is $635 retail - and $850 fitted.....

Don't ask about the AERO body kit!!! - it is $4117 fitted for the standard model (including the fog lights). For the lux it is $3976 fitted (more labour due to relocation of sensors).

Parts alone is almost $3000, Aero front bumper $817, rear aero $817, skirts $635, boot spoiler $453, fogs $271.

The parts price sounds similar to retail for the CL9 before.

Boot spoiler and fogs are reasonable $$ for OEM Honda parts. The rest forget it.

In my years of buying cars I have learnt that, apart from a few items, OEM accessories are a waste of money that figure exactly zero to the resale value of the car. In other words, you won't get a single cent more for your car with accessories than a bog standard version. In some cases, the sporty bits might even devalue your car because they indicate that you might have driven your car hard. Also, the dangly bits wear poorly and look tacky after a few years.

id agree with that.. when i was looking for a second hand euro lux i avoided those with a rear spoiler, the ones without seem much classier imo.

Hey, can you post prices for the interior stuff?
I wouldn't mind the 'elegance' kit.
$4k for the kit? I thought it would be more to be honest.
Under $1k for full front and rear spoilers is good for OEM.

Wow, is that rear spoiler price for the lip one? $400 is a good price considering i was just about to order a TSX one for US$400 + shipping.

Thanks for the heads up!

Hmm i just asked my Honda dealer and they quoted me $530 fitted for the lip spoiler, and car cover as 100-200.

Is there a way i can get the lip spoiler for cheaper? if not, i might have to order the TSX one from the states, that comes in at $400. Also, what's the price on the car cover?

Thanks!

IMO you don't put the extra things on or in your car for the resale value at the other end..........
You do it cos they make the car more pleasing for you whilst you own it and that's the important thing. It's all about your own driving experience and if that is enhanced for you by fitting some "extras" then Go For It !!

Hardly. They were inline with Audi accessory pricings, maybe a tiny, tiny bit cheaper but they were definitely on the same page with regards to price. Audi's bluetooth was barely more than Honda's one yet it is fully integrated and not some half arsed job, likewise with the iPod connector.

Thanks for getting the prices, but the btooth and iPod seem a bit steep, and I really dont want the dash ripped apart on my new Japan quality build just so the audio gets muted when I answer the phone... and at least I can put my MP3's on a disc..

Looking at my car on Friday so may be buying then...

They don't need to rip your dash apart to install those things.I've got bluetooth with radio mute and all they did was pull out the centre console thing where you put cds and other stuff for access to the cables etc.

Cheers

Have checked the sports pedal kits from the CU Euro, to see if it will fit the CL, and so far, so good!

Havent checked the dead pedal as yet, but the brake, clutch and accell are all go.

You have to install them via removing the old rubbers off the brake/clutch, and pop rivet the newies on, they come with new rubber inserts, and the accell just pop rivets right over the top.

Hope this helps.
