Honda Integra LS 91 Oil worries. =[

Hello AGAIN.
im really paranoid cause of what happend to my old Prelude (engine sieze)

I Put in new oil. i think i put in too much.
I put in MOBIL SUPER 2000,,,,,, 10W-40.... is that normal?.. theres some really light ticking the car makes which worries me... is this normal?


i have an extra gague.. one for oil temp... and one for oil pressure.... my oil pressure always seems to be going upto 60-85 mark in PSI.... is that normal? or not normal... its really worrying me

ps. its a HONDA INTEGRA 1991 with a B16A Engine

lolz.. not tryin to be a smart ass or anything... but just check ur dipstick to see if u put in too much oil?!? and 10w-40 oil is fine for the b16

bro, i think i put in too much oil, im blind the day i put in the oil i looked at the stick the oil is a clear colour and its reaaaallly hard to tell.. il check again tommorow. i think theres too much... argh.

Get a desk lamp (bright light) and get the light to shine directly on the dip stick, tilt your head a bit to look for gross surface (oil), matt surface (no oil). That a way to know the oil level when color fails.

why dont you just drain the biach and put some honda genuine oil into your car. i use to use penzoil performance oil and it goes harder but honda oil seemed to last longer and be more reliable. =)

Next time look at the indicator on the bottle. Put in 4.2L and you'll be safe.
