Flip the airbox upside down.

Sorry if this has been previously posted, was unable to find in a search.

Has anyone tried taking the lid off their airbox and flipping it upside down for a possible hp gain?

I know it wouldnt be much of a gain and is a pretty basic mod but for a stock airbox at $0 expense, im interested in giving it a try. A mate did this on his SSS with panel filter but wasnt sure of any gain :confused:

I have a k+n pod inside the airbox already, but turning it over i figure would help block the hot air just under the hood from entering and also having it open would allow more air available which is coming in from under the car....
You probably know where i was coming from anyhow.

pods don't always gain power, infact, most times it loses low end power.

Try removing your stock airbox lid, and drive around with it for the day. You'll answer your own question. :)
