Well, it was a hard decision between the Civic and the Integra, but decided that I wanted the 1.8L :)
1999 Honda Integra VTiR... only 50000kms, perfect condition, 1 female owner with log books from new, dead stock... picked it up for $19k.

anyone else notice that on the vtir blades (the rims) that they are directional. so on one side the blades poke forwards, where as on the other side of the car, the face the other direction? anyways... just something i noticed long ago.

joneblaze: haha, I know what you mean about the events that have unfolded before I bought a Honda. Oh well, I guess I had my head up my arse thinking Nissans were the best cars ever! My bad :)
Mods over the next two weeks include clear indicator lights with new bulbs, lowering, and a new gear knob hahahaha :)

sweet ride pal, glad your happy! get a type r lip and it'll look more menacing!
i agree with lerroy, don't get clear tailights! my r came with clear tailights and looks horrible! im hesitant to drive it coz it looks retarded. stock r lights soon, but in the meantime enjoy ur ride :D

leave the car stock. dont put exhaust or anything. leave the ride hieght as is. stock is better then modded.
Lower car = hassles with speed humps, steep drive ways etc.
Stock hieght = no need to ever worri about a speed hump or steep drive way.
Exhaust? every dick and toms got one. its annoying, gives u headaches after a long day at work. wakes up the neighourhood when u wanna go out late at night. its better to drive in peace then a droning hoon everywhere u go.
i/h? wat for? a little more hp? maybe 5? its not gonna get you from A to B any quicker, there will still be red lights and speed limits.
modding ur car will be painful on the wallet and not to mention if u get dicked you'll have to rip it all out and put bak the stock one.
sorry for the long reply. so bord at work
but all in all looks nice :)

if you want to hit the track or twisties at all, you really need to invest in a small ammount of suspension work. the vti-r isn't really up to it out of the box...
even if you aren't interested in track work, it's so much more rewarding to drive a car that turns in sharply than a car that wallows all over the road.
do it in the name of fun if nothing else... :)

u do realise that if u turn a corner too fast 30k +? (not sure) u can cop a fine.

my car is modifeid aswell and i too have learnt something from here.
its just the ride feel of stock is much better then modded imo.
oh well. :)

Agree with you on that one, unless you are seriously thinking of tracking, just leave it stock. But it's up to you in the end.

well, you can cop a fine for doing almost anything on the road, fortunately turning at 30km/h isn't one of them.
if you can't appreciate the feel of more responsive turn in during every day driving, you probably aren't an enthusiast- in which case any performance related modification would be a waste of money.
the "ride feel of stock" is better if you are a grandma, maybe....
seriously, my car on soft shock settings rides barely more harshly than a stock vti-r, yet it handles so much more tidily.
i learnt something here too, don't listen to people on forums, all you get is shitty advice. sit in a few cars and find out what suits you.

Def lower it 2 inches or so, put on some 17 inch wheels and remove the rear wing.. NICE!!
Heres my old GSI on 17's..http://home.iprimus.com.au/liveillusion/GSI teggy.JPG
bluebird
22-09-2004, 10:05 PM
Is 2 inches lower annoying? I was thinking that might annoy me by it bottoming out, and having to go sideways over every driveway etc etc :)
If it's still fine, then i'll go 2 inces for sure :)
Lepperfish
22-09-2004, 10:08 PM
Well mine was 2 inches with 17's and it was fine mate.. But it was a GSI, not VTiR..
I assume there pretty much the same..

23-09-2004, 07:13 AM
Hey Lepperfish,
Did you have a problem with your camber after lowering it 2 inches?
z3lda
23-09-2004, 10:27 AM
your tyres are too big Lepperfish. get thinner tyres and ur car will be lower :)

23-09-2004, 09:41 PM
hey tommo
congrats man
2inches is fine man, mine was lowered 2.5inches and had no probs.

2" is safe Tommo. Steve's right. :)
Let me know if you're in need of some nice suspension, mine might be coming off sometime soon.

I sold that car over 3 years ago.. I got a DC2R now..
As for smaller tyre profile, no thanks. 215/40//17 was perfect for how low my car was and with 17 inch wheels..
