Just curious those that have done it
if we're to swap a b18cR into a da integra running a b18a
(im assuming if you swapped a b18c or a b16a it would be the same scenario)
will the mounts/brackets be retained from the b18a or will we need after market?
thanks

I swapped a B16A into mine, but had a halfcut to start with, so it dropped straight in, no need to change any mounts, so maybe its just a case of using the B18A mounts you already have? someone here will definately know :)

reuse the mounts from your B18a and you be sweet, assuming your using cable box

is it a hydro gearbox atm or cable?
i think u will just need a custom mount for the new hydro gearbox,as ive never heard of any aftermarket ones for this conversion.
unless u choose to retain the original gearbox
i could be wrong.
oops bowser beat me too it.

then u will more than likely have to get a custom gearbox mount fabricated.
try emailing hasport for the exact dimensions of the ED(EF as they call it) CRX hydro gearbox mount,it could be close.

thanks crxer but what about the engine mounts itself? i know the tranny wlll be different but using a different box will alter the engine mounting??

no its just the gearbox mount that changes to suit the different bolt pattern on the hydro gearbox.Other mounts remain unchanged.
Try all the other mount manufacturers like Innovative, etc one of them might have made a solution for your problem.Someones got to have done it.

thats what i thought, makes perfect sense i think innovative and hasport do make the mount they sell them as a kit with the acccuator :thumbsup:

there has been a ls that has done a b18cr conversion into a LS that recently sold on ozhonda car sales area whatever. so maybe grab some tips off the thread where he sold it and see what he used to do the conversion.
maybe b18cr mounts would be stronger on a integra LS as its a more powerful engine ? dont want the engine mounts to crack as many do.
dont quote me on that.
