i have like a 50 letter sig, but because i make some things bold, and change the colour, it makes it over 300.

make it 300 WITHOUT BBcode

^ no to that, just makes the thread seem messy and will take longer to load, doesnt matter if you have broadband, if there is 30posts on 1st page each having a pic in their sig, it will take longer. Keep it the way it is, simple and clean. Pic sigs just reminds me of sites like boost cruise with every 2nd dimwit having something ridiculous, you spend more time looking at the pictures while they load then reading the post.

We never had them to start with. It is possible to have different character limits including/excluding bb code however signatures aren't the be-all-and-end-all of everything so it won't be changing.

You are an excellent example of this. Your post had 3 lines of text.....and your signature has 10 lines of text. I don't want Ozhonda becoming a site where you have to scroll through 75% of crap before they can read what they want. That's one reason we don't allow images in signatures also.

It's a similar thing to having off topic replies / SPAM in the Marketplace. I've been to many a forum where users post comments like "Gluck with Sale" etc and for the people genuinely interested in the item.....that's more unrelated posts that they have to scroll through before they can read what they want.

To me, this forum gives me a little bit of help now and then and mostly entertains me throughout the day, making my life a lot more bearable. Again, what or who's (i already know, so don't bother) to say that your input into this forum is more valuable than my input. At the end of the day its all up to an individuals point of view to determine for themselves what they like and don't like to see posted and viewable here. Don't say your input is more valuable than kazam's, because to me, they are not and thats just my point of view.

since this is a battle which we or I (a person who surely SURELY falls under Q's infamous group of "spammers") cannot win, just get rid of sigs completely or limit them to just 3 lines...

dont have a word limit coz we can just put a word on every line and have u guys scrolling for 10 minutes, so just have 3 line limit with as many words as u can fit on the 3 lines.

Sig's are handy sometimes, not just for spamming useless shit, but sig sales occur alot, even sometimes using them for asking for help or WTB etc.....

well considering my business provides a free service to this forum, and has done so for quite a long time now I dont see any problem advertising my website, and admin/moderators have never asked me to remove it, and it's been there since the day I joined.
