Different engine mounts on the motor for the 'teg. It's a common problem the US guys have when they import the 1G 'teg motors. Best to go an Aussie ED9 CRX D16 or a ZC from a JDM 4th gen Si Civic or CRX.

um if this is an engine from a 86 integra, you are not allowed (legally) to put it into your 89 civic if you want to register it... ITS ILLEGAL!

yeh dude i am getting a EG si engine for $600 with everything :D all i have to get is a cable gearbox...engine is in good nick too

i think you should go for something newer anyway...why get an old D16a8 when the 92 si engine is the same, but newer, and bolts directly into your engine... same mounts

makes sense to me :o

that is all

you car is a crx with differnent back end.

A ZC1(jdm zc dohh 1.6 nonvtec) will go as will a d16a8(1.6 non vtec dohc, Si engine)

get a wrecked zc gen crex and do it, engine will OBVIOUSLY be different,

1.5 to 1.6 man.....

zcs own btw

d16a8/zc from EG is obd1 ecu
d16a8/zc from EF is obd0 ecu

just be aware of that

They arent really many differences although the shape is similar, but u can use the mounts would be a much easier swap. An has it has been mentioned u can legaly use an older motor in a newer car.
