hey guys

after a quick hunt I found myself 2005 Man Luxury in blue with the optioned 17's and full bodykit. Picked it up tonight. Missed my Astra for about 2 seconds lol.

Makes 2 Euro's in the family now. Mum has a 2005 std in graphite with just the rear wing.

05 lux, body kit and that mileage = good price. Good to see the CL9 second hand prices become more reasonable.

Rob_A, what bodykit was it on the car?

Euro lux... does that come with black out window trims? If not, what Euro comes with the black out window trims? Keep wondering as I saw some on the street. Thx.

Nice, if you still have the stock rims, then those are the highly desirable 10 spoke rims....

Is it just me or does the leather in Honda's not wear very well? Most used Euros I have seen have creased and almost cracking leather.

The body looks in good nick though.

I wonder if this has something to do with the leather being incorporated with PVC vinyl? Does anyone know what is the percentage of leather actually used in Honda's leather seats?

The leather is just coated leather. Not the proper quality leather like the one used in Lexus and Mercedes.

Yes, just visually there appears to be a difference. There must also be quite a different feel as well.

The CL9 leather is not that supple from new but the creased look is intended. It is called "ruched" leather and is seen in other cars as well. It responds quite well to a little regular TLC.

The P leather in the new CL2 looks better IMO but I don't now if it is actually better quality.

I actually had a better look at the CU2 leather today. It looks better than I first thought. I wasn't too interested in it when I test drove the Lux, as I knew I'd be going for a base model.

As for the cracking CL9 leather, I wonder how many of these owners took care of their interior properly and stopped the leather from drying out?

The side part where the air bag is is usually PVC and not leather.

Nice.Needs to be lowered a bit.I'm a big believer in leaving dynamics alone. Unless you're going for an all out modified setup. After all, Honda spent millions developing the car. Still, great buy!

I pick mine up out of storage tomorrow! I think I'll be driving the streets of Sydney non stop for about 3 days, I've spent 9 out of the past 12 months unable to drive. http://www.themixingbowl.org/image/smilies/cry.gif

The stock car is great on the street. But when I pushed it 10/10 on the track, it was like shit. Horses for courses. Great for the street out of the factory, but not so great on the track when stock.

agree with aaronng. It understeers like crazy when put through the track. even with rsb, coilover, lab, and strut brace, my euro was still understeering badly when I put it through sandown.

exactly. Its my daily driver, I'll be doing a 1000kms a week in it and prefer comfort over perfromance. I have been through the days of lowering cars and massive wheels etc, geez I sound old now lol.

The standard setup on these cars is pretty good, I have driven cars better stock e.g. 350Z, RX8 but a car designed for a different environment.

Ditto. I do around 1000km a week around the city, with occasional Orange/Maitland/Newcastle/Woolongong jaunts. Damn glad I have a fuel card! http://www.themixingbowl.org/image/smilies/grin.gif
