Ok guys, this problem started just after i resetted the ecu.

So, pulled the fuse out left it out for a couple of seconds and placed it back in blah blah.

Now, when i first started the car the idle was a bit off - I thought perhaps the ecu had to reconfig itself or whatever. But now, every time i blip the throttle the revs drop.. to a point close to around 200rpms.

Thats not the only problem though - now at idle when i hit the throttle the headlights go brighter and back to dim again when i'm off throttle.

I'm thinking it has to do something with the grounding. Can anyone help or has experienced the same problem?

Cheers

did you let the car idle for a few mins after reseting the ecu?

No I didn't let the car idle the first time.

I did however reset the ecu again and had the car idleing, but the problem is still there

To reset the ECU correctly U should take the battery fuse out for 5 minutes then put it back in,start the car and let it idle for 5 minutes without touching anything, turn the car off and on and that's it.I think U should do it correctly first then take it from there.
Check all grounds.
It sounds like it could be the IACV (Intake Air Control Sensor) on the TB (Throttle body).

is the ecu throwing any errors out at you ? have you checked if anything looks out of place as far as sensors and wires go ? look in the fuse box and check if you accidentally unplugged any fuses while you where putting the other fuse back?

Ok - I just did another ecu reset and had the car idle for just over 10 minutes (fans came on)

Problem is still there. Checked the sensor on the throttle body and thats fine too.

Will give the code check a go later today

Thanks:thumbsup:

How did U test the sensor? U can check it with a voltmetre but I'm unsure of what the readings should be.The best way is to swap it over.
