i plan to get dc2r recaros for my ek4 in the future
i know dc2r rails wont fit my ek4 so ill try and source some ctr rails
(anyone know how much?)

anyway
onto main question
i did a search and came up with nothing
if i put recaros in my car, to make it 'legit' do i need a certificate?
i just want peace of mind ie not getting scared of being defected

just use you old rails from you old seats any upulsteror can do it, plantinum are the best (previously) master .... and its legal cause you have orignal rails and seats that fold to allow rear passengers in and out...

To actually answer your question...... yes you will need a modification blue plate.

This is the way it is in QLD and if the "harsher" rules in southern states are anything to go by, then YES it will only be legal if you get it passed and blue plated.

hRm, i have aftermarket seats..
alot of guys i know have aftermarkets too..

and nothings ever been said to us about them whilst being inspected..
Maybe melbs stance is not as strict...

I was told off badly about my POD and it not being secured, but not about my seats? lol

very rare you will get introuble for your seats unless you get taken to the pits, and the rta inspect it
