this has probably been covered so pls send the link if it has.

i've been in the market for coilovers for awhile now and have finally narrowed it down to buddy club n+ or Tein SS.

it's mostly for DD but i will be tracking occassionally.

please let me know your thoughts (preferably experiences) with these setups both on the road and the track. If someone has had both setups, your input would be highly regarded.

Thanks

Go for the buddyclub's n+ for sure, thats the next coilover I am looking at, atm I am running the SS and for me and in my opinion they are too soft, and the 'lowest' height you can adjust them to, is not that great, for me that is. If you ask me go the buddyclubs, you have more height adjustment and more noticable damper adjustment, so you can still run the same height the SS bottom out on and the same stiffness if you like, with the choice of cranking it up a notch when it comes to track time.

since ull be going to the track go for buddyclub N+ as SS is a bit too soft. I heard the B.C (bor chuan?) coilovers were pretty good for track (few ozhonda members have swapped their tein SS's for them)

dc2r shocks and king springs even better then tein ss. Tein ss like for people who like slamed rides with factory comfort so soft.

I've got a set of N+ as a daily driver and i find it fine, just a lil bumpy on crapy roads otherwise its fine. Like markojek1 said, it offers greater adjustability compared to the SS. As for track, i've never been but you can adjust the dampers to suit

US ebay seems to sell the BC N+ for under 1k as well, dont know how much shipping to oz would be, but still even if it was a bit, and provided the seller isnt dodgy that would still be an awsome deal.

just be aware, if you do purchase in australia, you are being backed up by a 2 year full replacement warranty by buddyclub australia.
though there are choices of n+ overseas, id rather enjoy the peice of mind and buy local.

thought I'd bump this rather than make another thread,

so what I gather from this thread is that the BC N+ are better than the tein ss in performance, but what about for street use?

The N+ are more adjustable but by how much?

I know the tein ss initially lower the teg by

-71mm in the front and -54 in the rear.

so you can adjust it by -40mm to -100mm in the front and -22mm to -80mm in the rear. (I think)

but what about the N+'s?

Also are the N+ stiff for street, will they brake my back? or would the tein's be better?

for me n+ wont break your back =] its quite comfortable on the lowest settings, not to bumpy not to rough.
and when you want to have a spirited run they perform exceptionally well
bang for buck coilovers i reckon

thats my 2cents

yeh man if you set it on low it smooth as i reckon...haha i like the hard ride though and have them set almost full stiff but thats mainly coz im low and dont want to bottom out.

N+ can really really slam your ride haha tien ss really cant at all if thats what your after.

spec wise i think n+ is better plus you can lower from the shock body so you dont loose preload on the spring (which you will eventually loose if you choose to slam the car). but this option means you can go fairly low without compromising the handling too much.
