Hey guys,
Just wanted to start a new thread for my new wheels and maybe damaging my undercarriage exhaust.
UNDERCARRIAGE DAMAGE
- i was driving to mates place and i totally forgot about how steep the driveway was and i scrapped underneath where the resonator is located almost unable to move with slight throttle.
side skirt was about <5mm from the highest point of driveway. Had a quick inspection after i got out and i didnt really find but but scraps and didnt sound like any leaks were there.
How bad you reckon the damage would be? and would you think it'll pierce through the stainless steel? also whats the best DIY repair method to reduce rusting where the damage is?
NEW WHEELS
My first order of wheels 57S Bronze 18x7.5 +48 5x114.3 was stuffed up as that line of wheel in size 18" was discontinued for 2008. (Been waiting since February to see what the hold up was)
Now i've gotten a set of 57 Maximum TA 18x7.5 +43 5x114.3 *TO BE INSTALLED*
(PHOTOS TO BE POSTED and will not disclose whom i got it from)
PHOTO TEASERS
1) set of all four (4) wheels

+43 offset I would think would be a bit low. +48 or more is the recommended.

not as light as you think they are, only used approximation from a digital scale on a layer of carpet.
9.4kg not the lightest wheel as they are cast.

hey guys,
I will prob try and get my tyres on, on monday arvo hopefully when i get back from coffs harbour.
Just wanted to clarify something with my valve stem configuration.
similiar to these below
http://icbmotorsport.com/ICB_BRYAN/Arrived_April07/BBR_Center_Caps_Valve_Stems.jpg
Valve stem consists of Valve lid > Stem > 2 nuts
I have a washer that sits on the rim surface.
Does the configuration consist of this
Valve lid > Stem > Washer > Wheel > 2 nuts (on inner side)?? there is also an extra washer that came with it, does that go on with it or is that a spare one?
Thanks for your help again will post pics when i have them on.

Yeh not too bad, only can compare with stock.
Haven't fully thrashed it yet as i want to wear them in a little first. But they hold the corner well without slippage, more quieter, wet driving i find it grip alot better also. Let you know more later. Also these dunlops sp sport maxx i got are not the japan made one, jap ones are alot cheaper $240/corner approximately. The ones i have are the German made ones, approx $320+ or so.

more like i'll have cracked bumpers, scratched exhausts and finally i will get stuck in a driveway definitely.

im like use to scratching now... its gone to a point where u'll hear a scratch and it doesn't hurt lol.

lol scratches and battle cars on stock bumpers and boot were not done by me.
All done by dad and sisters only 1 i did was on the black plastic lip on the front bumper which is not noticeable due to a slope which was too steep even on stock suspension.

hmmm 16" if your trying to get them from distributors in sydney and for jap wheels your prob looking for almost 1 month wait. Otherwise contact traders (musecret, jdmyard or jdmconcept or max honda-power)
otherwise for cheap option might be able to go visit talebtyres for black + red lip. (But from their website i think they only stock min 17")
Hope this helps.
