Hey everyone i have a microtec lt10 and am wanting to put a hondata in to get my aircon back :)
Ive hit my mechanic up to do the wiring, just curious what would be my best hondata option?
I have a 1996 VTIR, B18C2 NA, just with cams
Oh and the motor will have to be re-wired because of the microtec
Cheers

Your motor isnt going to need a rewire.
I suspect as i believe there isnt a conversion harness for the lt10 for the bseries. The person who installed it has spliced it into your loom. (cut the wires going to your factory ecu and attached on the new ones going to the microtec. If this is the case and you want to go to a hondata.. you will need the microtec disconnected then the origional cables re-attached to your factory ecu plug.
If the main purpose of you changing to hondata from microtec is to get back your ac.. dont bother as the microtec is not the reason you dont have it.

as above,
if your car is OBDIIa then you will need an OBDI ECU and a OBDIIa to OBDI convertion harness, the ECU has to be modified to support hondata
if you car is OBDI then you can have your ECU modified to support hondata

sorry about that, talking to a honda tuner i was told that the microtec has no aircon control, as in when the air con puts a load on the motor it doesnt compensate.
The wiring from the microtec in my engine bay is a complete mess. and ive been told that there are alot better ecus for my motor other than the microtecs, but is it worth lashing out the money to get a new ecu wired in or just get my aircon sorted out and engine bay cleaned up?
Cheers

Why don't you run the microtech as a piggy back? I.e just control fuel and ignition?

Agreed... thats what i have done... factory ecu controlls all non essential engine features... and microtec does essential.
