I've searched (or at least attempted to search) the forums for the answer. But I can't find anything.

I'm in the market for a Euro Lux and at this point in time, there are 2 I need to decide between. One been a 2003 model, which I like the colour of, and a 2004 with about 15000Ks less than the '03 that is $1000 LESS.

My question is, seeing as the Euro came out in 2003, was there any improvements to the 2004 model from any bugs or defects present in the 2003?

Thanks in advance.

i think theres quite a bit of improvement.. i've got the 2003 lux and its pretty basic.. as in the trip computer and stuff.. apparently the 2004 lux has lots of extra stuff you can use in the trip computer like how many KM left till ur petrol runs out and stuff like that, someone correct me if iam wrong?

Nah, thats 2005 models upwards. Afaik.

Edit: I wouldn't call that 'lots of extra stuff' either. :P

I didnt mean feature wise either. I meant FAULT wise. For example. Perhaps,...they fixed the creaking clutch problem in the 2004 models. Thanks for your reply but.

As far as I'm aware, there was no official update for the 04 model year, so the only differences would be minor running changes. Other users may be able to elaborate on these. I seem to recall a dark blue colour was dropped for 04.

The first (minor) official update came for the 05 model year, when the Lux got 17 inch rims, a full-size spare was introduced, the steering wheel buttons became illuminated with the dash lighting, and the Milano Red colour was introduced.

The Euro didn't get a full trip computer (with fuel consumption, distance to empty, etc etc) until the 2006 mid-life facelift. Prior models made do with the dual digital trip meters and outside temperature display.

i have owned both, 04 and 03 and they are exactly the same, whatever problems my 04 had, 03 has the same.. i think 05 upwards alot of changes were done to improve all the faults..

didnt 04 have the glossy hazard light button or was that 06+.

in simple words if you buy 03-05 models there arent major differences, but if you get 06+ there are bigger differences.

In that case, there wouldnt be any difference in buying the '03 over the '04?

Thanks for all your help guys. Really appreciated. Keep your comments coming if you know any other issues.

I hope so! :p

Pedal arrangement looks different (and better) in CU2.
