Cluster Need Goes Crazy.

As the topic says.. my cluster needle goes crazy! One night driving home i was driving normally then at the lights i felt like flooring it so i did, once the needle went passed 60-80 it dropped down to 0 then went 30 to 0 then 60 then 0 and stayed 0(even tho i was going 80) until i made a complete stop and drove again and it goes back to normal.
its still doing this often when i go over bumps n stuff too, can anyone help me?
Is the cluster wire at the back loose? is some sensor going bloody nuts? thanks.

Try to check / replace your speed sensor ( VSS)

Yeap first clean the VSS connector. If doesn't it then change to another VSS sensor.

Im abit noob to this but..Wheres the VSS connnector? behind cluster? is it somewhere in the engine bay? Any Pictures? i can refer to?? My car is a dc2r

pop the engine bay. its on the gearbox housing.

on the gearbox housing right down the back in the diff section,where the driveshafts come out.....the vss is ontop of there.disconnect the wiring going to it and then there will be a bolt holding it in
