my mates eg vti wont work

my mates got a jdm vti and it wont start
we have checked the following things
fuel pump works
its sparks
timing belt is fine and compression is good
wat could b the prob??

but do u know there is fuel getting to the engine.

check thers fuel pressure at the rail & whether the injectors are firing or not.

why would you import a jdm vti?

u sure its a vti?
anyway, for any engine u just need to check 3 main thing to start:
fuel, cylinder compressure and spark!

starter motor?

is the starter motor cranking?
as said try the push start.

has it been driving and now all of a sudden it has stopped or has it just never started from day one?

he was driving it in the freeway and all of a sudden it just stoped
theres fuel going thru and its sparking fine we took out the aftermarket car alarm

i dunno if its a vti or not i just assumed it was cos its got a vtec engine in it and the badges have been removed
