Hi im in the hunt for a S2k atm and just stumbled across a JDM model. Just wanna know what the differences are between them? Are they minor differences like the S15? Because i own a S15 and i notice that the only difference is power and little luxury features.

just a suggestion if you are buying a JDM S2K, its hard to sale it to a Honda Dealer later on, you might be only able to sale it privately . . . . . unless the price is really good

would it be harder to insure the jdm as its a 'import' ??... might want to give the owner a call and have a chat to him, maybe he will know the differences :D

It may have different suspension and exhuast, but all i know is that it has VGS.

If you ever see a s2k with VGS badge on the back and the steering wheel, its VGS. That thing has like race steering. Its very sensitive. Im not sure if all sk2s have it but his has HIDs stock as well... (his = my friend just got a Type V)

Khuong, VGS stands for Variable Gear Steering and is only available on the Type V s2000, introduced to Japan only.

From what I know about it the difference is that standard steering locks after 2.4 turns, while VGS is at 1.4, giving it more sensitive steering.

As mentioned before his HIDs are stock but im not sure if thats a Type V feature or not. It was a personal import.

It has VGS embedded to the steeringwheel and a VGS badge on the rear =)
