Hi Guys

Just wondering who out there have already upgraded tyres on they're FN2 TYPE R?

I'm looking at trying Yokohama AD07 or Bridgestone Adrenalin

Just wondering if anyone has tried them yet? and how much better are they than stock ones? did you notice any worsening in ride quality? or big improvements?

Thanks

AD07 will be grippier than Adrenalin because it is a softer compound. Call around for pricing because someone has mentioned before that for some sizes, AD07 is about the same price as Adrenalin!
The Bridgestone equivalent to AD07 is the RE01R.

Not in the rain. Great for track, not for street.

Yeah i used to run semi's on my subaru in the passed. very good but waste of tyre for street use...

But i've experience when you put hard compound tyres on factory suspension it can screw up the feel of the steering..unless u have coilovers...

There is a new Goodyear F1 asymmetric that is meant to be released soon. From tyre tests from UK magazines, it whips the ass of most other tyres.

the stock RE050A sidewalls is pretty poor at cornering. Personally I don't mind sacrificing a bit of ride comfort for stiffer sidewalls. The Re001 is still pretty nice for a daily driver, but if you looking for outright performance from a street tire, I'd look in the level of AD07 and RE01R. I've tried the FD2R OEM tire, the Bridgestone RE070, they were fantastic on track. I believe its similar level to AD07 and RE01R.

RE070 is 1 step above RE01R and AD07. It slots in between those two tyres and the A048.
