The fuse holder ends may not be in proper contact with eachother. Use a multimeter with the power disconnected and check across the fuseholder ends.

How you check the fuse for the amp? Try changing the fuse for the amp cause sometime you cant see the small cracks.

When you start up the car and turn on your head unit is there any clicking noise coming from your amp???

if there is clicking coming from your amp that should mean your amp is receiving power...

These could be your problems you are having...

1) The cable that goes from the head unit to the amp to signal it to turn on is damaged.

2) The amp is receiving a signal to turn on, but not receiving power.

Try these steps:

- Make sure the connection to the battery is secure

- Make sure the fuse on the line near the battery is intact and both side is secured

- The connection to the amp, for both ground and power, seem good

- Last step check if both fuses on the amp are intact and properly secured...

If these steps don't work your amp could be blown... Also get new cables but before that if you have a mate that has a spare amp
try putting his/hers in and see if it is a cable issue....

Good Luck and give us feed backs

That spark you seen/heard is the caps charging inside the amp, gets me every time :)

now there is no sound and my amp doesnt seem to get any power..

Use a multimeter to check for power and trigger and minimal or no resistance to ground.

If you get trigger but no power then go back to the cheap ass glass fuse you're using and throw it in the bin along with the fuse holder and buy a proper maxi blade fuse holder and fuse where the fuse is one piece instead of 3 pieces like the glass fuses also known as 5awg glass fuses.

The glass fuse is dry soldered to the end caps, this is where problems lie, fuse could look good, but the way they are put together absolutely suck. Now if you dont have a glass fuse and you have an ANL or maxi blade and it isnt blown and you dont own or know how to use a multimeter, book it into your local audio store for a check up. :)

check the fuses in the amp.. check the fuses in the engine bay...
