hey mate.. it should at the back of engine under the intake manifold....

http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Flats/3877/oilchange.html

"The filter is on the back of the engine, offset to the driver's side, sticking rearward. If it has not been overtightened, it can usually be removed by hand, reaching up from under the vehicle (this is where setting the jackstands higher can help). If it is too tight, the appropriate sized filter wrench may need to be used (available at any auto parts store). A small amount of oil will drain out of the filter as it is removed from the block, so the catch pan must be placed below this area to prevent a mess. The best method is to reach directly up (past the exhaust, carful - it may be hot!) to loosen the filter a bit, then place the catch pan under the filter area. The next step is to reach up and over from slightly to the driver's side (still under the car) to remove it all the way, allowing the oil to drop directly into the pan. The filter itself may be hot, and the oil usually is, so some rubber gloves and an old long sleeve shirt can be used in case some oil gets on you."

what nav said is correct, try standing on the passenger fender side and look at the bottom, behind the intake manifold and you will be able to spot it

it's a bitch an a half to get to

i had to get under the car and reach up into the small gap which doesn't give you much leverage

you really need to set the jacks up high,i did it recently . chances are you wont be able to get it off by hand.

chances are you'll never get it off by chance... seriously if you can I'd be doubting the quality of the last service.

I got mine out by hand and got it out through the engine bay. I had to really stretch my hand to reach it and twisted it out. Also replaced it with a new oil filter by hand through the engine bay as well. Remember to put some engine oil on the new oil filter rubber.

What if your a beast, and very stong, and can undo it by hand? You just might be very soft.

^ maybe, I'd rather use my oil filter remover tool though, saves me the time and trouble esp on B series.
